Refund Policy — OrthoFrame

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for OrthoFrame, a native macOS app for organising clinical orthodontic photography. It forms part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms and Privacy Policy. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Perfect Paradox Ltd.


Try before you buy — free 14-day trial

OrthoFrame includes a free 14-day trial that unlocks every feature, with no card required. You can evaluate the full app — sorting patient photos into ABO record sheets, on-device AI classification, metadata stripping, optional eye-bar anonymisation and (in Pro) encrypted backups — before paying anything.

When the trial ends, OrthoFrame simply drops to the Normal tier unless you enter a paid licence. Your photos and library are never locked or removed. Because you can fully assess OrthoFrame at no cost first, we strongly recommend using the trial to decide whether it fits your workflow.

14-day money-back guarantee

If you buy a paid licence and OrthoFrame isn't for you, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase — no questions asked.

OrthoFrame is a one-time purchase — not a subscription. You pay once and the licence is yours; there is no recurring charge and nothing to renew:

The 14-day refund window applies to both tiers and to the Normal → Pro upgrade. The window is measured from the date of the purchase you are asking us to refund.

After 14 days

Once the 14-day window has passed, refunds are at our discretion. However, if the App genuinely doesn't work on your supported system and we can't fix it, we will refund you even after the 14 days have elapsed. Get in touch and we'll work with you to resolve the problem first, and refund you if we cannot.

Fair use

This guarantee is offered in good faith. We may decline or limit a refund where we reasonably believe the refund process is being abused — for example, repeated purchase-and-refund cycles or other clearly bad-faith claims. This does not affect your statutory rights.

How to request a refund

Payments for OrthoFrame are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd / Paddle Payments Ltd), our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment, tax/VAT, invoicing and refunds on our behalf. To request a refund:

Refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method; the time to appear on your statement depends on Paddle and your bank, typically several business days. We never see or store your card details — those are held only by Paddle.

What happens to your data and your licence

OrthoFrame runs entirely on your Mac. Your patient photos, your library and all your activity never leave the computer, and we operate no server that receives them. A refund therefore has no effect on the data stored on your Mac — your existing photos and library remain exactly where they are, under your control.

After a refund, the paid licence key for the refunded purchase is cancelled, and OrthoFrame returns to the free Normal tier. Even then, the app still opens and your patient photos and library are never locked, hidden or deleted — you keep full access to your existing data and can always export it. Buying a licence again re-enables paid features at any time.

Your licence is perpetual

OrthoFrame is sold as a perpetual licence — it is yours forever. It does not expire, does not renew and is never billed again: there is no auto-renewal and no recurring charge. Your purchase includes one year of updates from the date of purchase. After that year the app continues to work for ever exactly as it did — you simply stop receiving new versions; nothing is disabled, paused or locked. This is not a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing to lapse.

Licences are delivered as a licence key and are validated entirely offline on your Mac using an Ed25519 signature against a public key embedded in the app; OrthoFrame does not contact any server to activate or validate your licence. If you ever buy a licence by mistake and wish to be refunded, the 14-day money-back guarantee above applies, measured from the date of purchase.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits or affects your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable consumer protection law. Where mandatory consumer law gives you broader cancellation or refund rights than those described here, those rights continue to apply.
